Parked Here — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Parked Here (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a parking location app published by Shame Logic LLC. This policy explains what the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

1. The short version

Parked Here has no account, no login, and no server that stores your data. Your parking pin, your photo, your note, and your timer never leave your phone. We cannot see where you parked, because that information is never sent to us.

2. Location

The app reads your device location only when you ask it to — when you tap Parked here to save a pin, and while you are walking back to the car.

Background location. After you save a pin, the app may continue to read your location while it is in the background so the distance on your lock screen stays accurate while you shop. This session ends when you clear the pin. Your coordinates are written to your device's local storage and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

3. Camera and photos

You may optionally attach a photo of the bay, level, or pillar. The photo is saved into the app's private storage area on your device. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared. Deleting the app deletes the photos.

4. Notes and timers

Any note you type and any meter expiry you set are stored on your device. Meter reminders are scheduled as local notifications by iOS itself — no push server is involved, and nothing about your timer is transmitted.

5. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed with RevenueCat. We receive your entitlement status and an anonymous identifier so the app knows whether paid features are unlocked. We never receive your payment card details, your Apple ID, or your name.

6. Analytics

The app records a small number of counters (app opened, parked, walk back, paywall viewed, purchase) on the device. These stay on the device. There is no analytics server, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracker in this app.

7. Roast content updates

The app ships with all of its roast lines built in and works fully offline. If a roast update file is configured, the app may fetch that file over HTTPS to pick up new lines. That request downloads text only — it sends no location, no identifier, and no information about you. As with any web request, the host serving the file may log the IP address the request came from.

8. Third-party services

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. There is no advertising in Parked Here.

9. Data retention and deletion

Everything the app stores lives on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it: pins, photos, notes, timers, history, and counters. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

10. Children's privacy

Parked Here is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Your choices

You can deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings, though the app cannot save a parking pin without it. You can deny camera and photo access and still use everything else. You can turn notifications off, which disables meter reminders. You can turn roasts off in the app's own settings. Subscriptions are cancelled through your Apple ID subscription settings.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
